Refund Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This Refund Policy applies to purchases of the VirtualDeck AI License (USD $25, one-time) from Jonathan Slater, doing business as VirtualDeck (“we,” “us”). The core VirtualDeck application is free (including up to fifteen deck buttons) and is not covered by this policy.
1. Digital license nature
The AI License is a one-time digital purchase that unlocks software features on your device (unlimited deck buttons and the in-app AI voice assistant with your own API key). After delivery or activation, the license cannot be “returned” in the same way as physical goods.
2. Merchant of record
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Your receipt and payment records come from Lemon Squeezy. Approved refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy’s payment systems to the original payment method when possible.
3. General rule
All sales are final once the license key is delivered or activated, except where required by applicable consumer law in your country or as described below.
4. When we may issue a refund
We may approve a refund at our discretion if:
- You were charged twice for the same license
- A technical error prevented activation and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time
- You contact us within 14 days of purchase and have not successfully activated the license
5. Non-refundable situations
- Change of mind after activation
- Issues caused by third-party services (Twitch, AI providers, OBS, etc.)
- Failure to meet system requirements listed on the website
- Violation of the EULA leading to license revocation
- Free-tier use only (no AI License purchase)
6. How to request a refund
Email virtualdeckapp@gmail.com with your order email, purchase date, and reason. Include your Lemon Squeezy receipt or order ID so we can locate the sale. We will respond within a few business days.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a payment dispute so we can help. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in license revocation.
8. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
