Jonathan Slater, an individual sole proprietor doing business as VirtualDeck (“we,” “us”), operates the VirtualDeck desktop application and the website at https://virtualdeck.app. This policy describes how we handle information.

1. Summary

VirtualDeck is designed as a local-first desktop app. Most configuration, audio files, and overlay assets stay on your computer. We do not operate a VirtualDeck cloud backend required for core features. The free app tier is limited to fifteen (15) deck buttons; the optional AI License is a one-time USD $25 purchase.

2. Information the desktop app processes locally

• Deck layout, hotkeys, skins, and profile settings stored in your user data folder
• Audio and media files you import
• Twitch OAuth tokens or credentials you choose to save for chat and EventSub features
• API keys you enter for optional AI features (stored locally; not sent to us)

3. Information sent to third parties (by you, via the app)

When you connect integrations, data flows directly between your PC and those services, for example:

• Twitch — chat, EventSub, clips, channel points, as enabled by you
• AI providers — if you use the AI voice assistant with your own API key
• Update checks — the app may contact GitHub or update servers to check for new versions

Those services have their own privacy policies. We do not control them.

4. This website

If you visit virtualdeck.app (hosted on Vercel), standard web server logs and analytics (if enabled) may collect IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. We use this to operate and improve the site.

5. Payments (Lemon Squeezy)

AI License purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for those sales. Lemon Squeezy collects and processes payment information (such as name, email, billing address, and card details) under its own privacy policy and terms. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

We receive purchase confirmation and limited customer information from Lemon Squeezy (such as your name, email, and order details) so we can deliver and support your license. If you have questions about how Lemon Squeezy handles payment data, review Lemon Squeezy’s privacy documentation.

6. Children

VirtualDeck is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information we hold, but no method is 100% secure. Protect your PC, OAuth tokens, and API keys.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us to exercise those rights. For payment-related data held by Lemon Squeezy, you may also need to contact Lemon Squeezy directly.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
